Happy Sara!

You might think I love to shop for clothes....but I LOOOOOVE to shop for plants. With my head in a cloud of herbaceous gluttony, today I bought a slew of drought-tolerant plants: russian sage, catmint, a yellow daylilly with a red throat, lime green and sage-colored sedums, a crazy maroon-leaved oxalis, gaura, and a bunch of shade-loving things for the pots on the porch: New Zealand impatiens, a crazy maroon and magenta coleus, lime ipomoea and a small tree fern. Last, but not least, I got a few things that are new to me - a dark purple-leaved weigela bush with hot pink flowers for a wooden barrel that I can't move out of the driveway strip and two varieties of low-growing ornamental grasses for the area around our drippy hose bib that actually prefer shade and will winter over here (that's rare....) - one's got white stripes and the other is bright lime. Yay Garden Time! Pin It
